I worked with Thomas this fall for his senior session. Doing senior sessions during the gorgeous colors of the season is so fun. We met up downtown Holland and we were able to get that city vibe, while also being able to take advantage of the oranges and yellows of the fall leaves. I had the opportunity to work with Thomas’ siblings in years past, so I really loved being able to work with Thomas as well. It truly means so much when families choose to work with me again. This senior season I didn’t have the opportunity to work with that many guys, it was mostly girls this year, so it was great to be able to change things up a bit. He is super kind and easy to be around. He is also very ambitious and has already started taking college classes. While getting to know him during this session, one of the things I learned about him was that he really enjoyed going to the gym & working out. During a senior session I try really hard to get to know the people I am working with. To me, it really helps be able to loosen up in front of the camera and begin to let your guard down. Photography is about so much more than just a simple photo, it’s about connection.

If you have been following me for a while, you know that working with seniors is one of my favorite things to do. If you are new here, well, now you know that as well. It truly is one of my favorite parts of photography, and its my hope that I have the opportunity to work with even more seniors this coming year.
